Supermarine Walrus
"Putsy Putsy"
This 1/48
scale kit of the Walrus is produced by Classic Airframes and just so that it
would be "different" from the other Walrus', I decided to do a civilian
version of one that had seen service in Canada both during and after World
War 2. Gordon Parker's Whiskey Jack Decals were used to finish this model. |
"Putsy-Putsy"
is shown in her original civilian suit after being de-mobbed and put into
service by Kenting Aviation for photo survey work. |
The rigging
on this strange but efficient old aircraft is reproduced using fine steel
wire placed into pre-drilled holes and secured with Super Glue...making for
a very strong structure. |
